The Reach is a space for sharing human values and experiences, a place for community cohesion.

The Reach Performing Arts Center is a 400-seat theater that promotes lifelong learning in the arts for Deer Isle-Stonington schools and the island community.

A year-round home for theater, dance, musical performances, school-related activities and community events, the Reach Performing Arts Center is a force for cultivating community, continuing education and artistic development.

ISLAND ARTS CAMP: July 6-10, 2026

Island Arts Camp - more info/register

The Reach Performing Arts Center and Mariners Soar! After School Program team up annually to bring a five-day arts camp to the island. Students who have completed any K-8 school year in June 2026 are eligible. Younger students move through a rotation of visual and performing arts sessions, while students who have completed grades 5-8 work on a devised theater piece which is presented on the last day of camp.

The Mother Goose News Hour

June 5 @ 6:00pm

The popular comedic children's play (written by Robin Blasberg) comes to The Reach stage! Nursery rhyme characters must investigate the sudden disappearance of Little Boy Blue, unraveling a mystery one rhyme at a time through a news broadcast format. As always, admission is free/by donation.
