Broadway Melodies at the REACH

This summer’s Evening of Broadway performance marks its 18th season on the Reach stage on Sunday, July 28, at 7 PM. An island chorus, under the direction of Alan Flowers, will perform many old and new show tune favorites. Proceeds (donations at the door) support The Island Scholarship Fund which has aided many graduating seniors who have been active in the performing arts during their education in DIS schools. In addition to awarding individual student scholarships, the Fund has supported scholarships for island children who attend the annual Arts Camp summer program. The Fund has also given monies to the Bud Carter Scholarship program that supports local children who pursue music lessons or purchase an instrument. Evening of Broadway is a joyous, uplifting event that is sure to have the audience tapping their toes and singing along to tunes that never grow old.
